Every contemporary print carries an invisible history of collaboration — the quiet, often improvisational dialogue between an artist’s vision and a technician’s skill. This informal, demystifying session pulls back the curtain on that relationship, following the day-to-day realities of working in a workshop like STPI: the trial and error, the technical problem-solving, and the creative give-and-take that shapes a finished edition. Drawing on firsthand experience from an artist-in-residence and former workshop director at STPI, the discussion unpacks how collaborating through experimentation have become central to boundary-pushing print and paper works made at STPI.
